Dandenong Ranges Tour

Come for the perfect ‘step-back-in-time’ classic car tour in a mid-50s Chevrolet coupe to experience: winding mountain roads; luscious rainforest; café stop hosted by Shannon Bennett at Burnham Beeches; freeway cruising; roadside artworks; jazz jazz (cool) jazz, glimpses of an abandoned Art Deco mansion; stroll to a hidden garden lake house; and a scenic lookout rest stop and photo opportunity … available for bookings seven days a week.

The Dandenong Ranges (Dandenongs) are perhaps Melbourne’s most essential near-to-city tourist experience – and we say the best way to enjoy them, from one end to another, is from the seat in one of our old-school cars … America’s all-time favourite automobile!

It’s white wall tyres.
It’s chrome.
It’s lots of green.
It’s the gentle chug of a Detroit V8 motor.
It’s windows down … wind in the hair.
It’s plenty of room.
It’s classic old school music (with a little help from Bluetooth®).
It’s General Motors at its best.

Your party of four can be collected from city hotels or a Carlton café for a private tour driven by d’Luxe host, John Frostell – local Chevrolet enthusiast and drive-to location expert.

A typical ‘Hills’ tour heads: CBD/Carlton > East Link > Ferntree Gully > Sherbrooke > Kalorama > Ringwood > CBD/Carlton and takes 3 hours (half day) or can be expanded to make a 6 hours (full day) tour. Stops can be added and changed to suit passenger interests and available time.

Prices from $450.00 for four passengers.

These tours are the perfect choice for international and interstate visitors wanting a unique look at Melbourne and environs, otherwise for locals looking at special gift ideas or simply just a bit of fun!

d’Luxe Classic Car Tours offers a range of personalised (and customisable) day tours heading in each compass direction – north, south, east or west (including hills and bay) – out of Melbourne and flexible across half, full or maxi day durations.
