Port Phillip Bay Tour
This one is close to home and can be a great way to see Melbourne from the water’s edge, especially if time is tight.
Getting straight into it, this tour hits the sights immediately upon departing central Melbourne with a lap around Melbourne’s F1 Grand Prix Circuit, Albert Park Lake. From there it is all vision as we head down the famous Beach Road for stops at bathing boxes, headlands, and a lovely ice cream and coffee stand by the shore at Half Moon Bay. Depending one time, the tour can continue south or swing the other way with a detour across the Westgate Bridge at the top of the bay for a cruise along the famous Williamstown foreshore. Return can be made to the CBD or even the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. And yes, this one can be booked for sunset and all the photo ops that provides!
Your party of four can be collected from city hotels or a Carlton café for a private tour driven by your d’Luxe host, John Frostell – local Chevrolet enthusiast and drive-to location expert.
A typical ‘bay’ tour heads: CBD > Albert Park Lake > Beach Road > Brighton Bay (bathing boxes) > Half Moon Bay > St. Kilda Pier > Return and takes 3 hours (half day) or can be expanded with additional stops further south or across to Williamstown to make a 6 hours (full day) or even an 8+ hours (maxi day) tour. As always, stops can be added and changed to suit passenger interests and available time.
Prices from $450.00 for four passengers.
These tours are the perfect choice for international and interstate visitors wanting a unique look at Melbourne and environs, otherwise for locals looking at special gift ideas or simply just a bit of fun!
d’Luxe Classic Car Tours offers a range of personalised (and customisable) day tours heading in each compass direction – north, south, east or west (including hills and bay) – out of Melbourne and flexible across half, full or maxi day durations.
